Installation Guide
None of our products need tools to install. Everything uses straps, clips, or friction-fit mounting. This guide covers setup for each product category, plus tips for getting the most stable fit in different vehicle types.
TrunkVault Pro & Compact
The TrunkVault arrives flat-packed. Unfold it and you will see three (Pro) or two (Compact) compartments connected by a continuous base plate. Here is the setup process:
- Clear the trunk. Remove floor mats if they are loose. You want the organizer sitting directly on the trunk floor for maximum grip.
- Unfold the organizer. Pull the side walls up until they click into the stiffener channels. You will hear a snap when each panel locks upright.
- Position it. Place the organizer against the rear seat back or the far wall of the trunk. The rubber base grips most carpet surfaces without additional anchoring.
- Attach tie-down straps (optional). If your trunk has cargo hooks or D-rings, thread the included straps through the reinforced loops on each end of the organizer and clip them to the anchor points. This prevents any lateral movement during hard cornering.
- Load it up. Heavy items go in first, toward the center. Lighter items on top and at the edges. The rigid walls handle up to 25 lbs per compartment.
SeatRig Organizer
The SeatRig mounts to the back of a front headrest using two adjustable nylon straps. It takes about 90 seconds:
- Raise the headrest to expose the metal posts.
- Loop the top straps around both headrest posts, just below the headrest pad. Pull tight and fasten the buckles.
- Secure the bottom strap. Route the lower strap around the seatback and through the bottom buckle. This stops the panel from swinging when the car accelerates or brakes.
- Adjust the tablet sleeve angle. The tablet holder has a stiffened flap that folds to three positions. Set it to match your passenger's eye level.
The SeatRig fits virtually any front seat with adjustable headrests. We have tested it on sedans, trucks, and SUVs from 2010 onwards. If your headrest posts are unusually thick (some Ram trucks), email us and we will send extended straps at no charge.
Console Drop Tray
The Console Drop Tray is vehicle-specific, so it drops right in:
- Open your center console.
- Drop the tray in. It is sized to the exact interior dimensions of your console. The rubber base prevents sliding.
- That is it. No straps, no adhesive, no clips. Lift it out anytime to clean.
Make sure you ordered the right tray for your vehicle's make, model, and year. The listing page has a vehicle selector. If your vehicle is not listed, email us your model info and we will check if we have a fit in development.
CargoLock Net
The cargo net stretches to fit almost any trunk or cargo area:
- Find the anchor points. Most trunks have four hooks or loops in the corners. If yours does not, the net includes four adhesive anchor hooks rated for 30 lbs each.
- Clip the carabiners to the corner anchors.
- Load your items and stretch the net over them. The elastic bungee cords keep constant tension.
Troubleshooting
- Organizer slides around: Make sure the rubber base is facing down. Clean the trunk floor of dust and debris. Attach tie-down straps if your vehicle has cargo hooks.
- SeatRig hangs too low: Tighten the upper headrest straps. You can also raise the headrest one notch to give more hanging length.
- Console tray does not fit: Double-check your vehicle year and trim level. Some manufacturers changed console dimensions between trim levels (looking at you, Toyota).
- Cargo net too loose: The net is designed for a slight pre-stretch. If your cargo area is smaller than 2x2 ft, wrap one set of hooks around the same anchor point to shorten the span.
